Monoline Alphabet Tracing Board & Guidelines • SVGs for Laser Cutting

This is a DIGITAL FILE not a tangible product. Using the letter formation worksheets from my daughter’s classroom, I redrew the letter shapes as individual lines and converted them to dashed vectors so that each design in this file with print on a Glowforge in about 5:30 (total for both designs on a sheet is about 11 minutes). The file includes both the alphabet on a tracing board layout, and the lined free writing design.

This is the honor system. If you want to cut it for personal use (your child, gifts for school, etc) feel free to choose the personal license option. If you plan to resell this file, please choose the commercial license. Because these are letter shaped vectors, you’ll be able to repurpose them for several other types of tracing boards.

By purchasing this file with a personal license, it allows you to make unlimited tangible items with this file as long as they are for personal use. Personal use means no money is exchanged — so for your family, a friend, a teacher, a gift to the school, etc.

Commercial Use

By purchasing this file with a commercial license, it allows you to make unlimited tangible items with this file that are intended for resale.

Restrictions

It is permitted to make derivative designs from elements in this file; however, reselling this digital file, or any parts within as design elements in other digital file you make, is not permitted.

Liability

Scattered Light Makery, LLC is not liable for what you or your gift recipients do with this file.

Settings

I run this with the following settings:

  • Board title: 200 speed / 31 power / .225 focus (this is +.1 on top of the material thickness to defocus and make a heavier line) / 1 pass
  • Letters/Lines: 200 speed / 41 power / .125 focus (if yours measures different, you should adjust this or use autofocus) / 1 pass
  • Cut: Whatever settings your machines cuts 1/8 acrylic with best. Mine is 150 speed / Full power / auto / 1 pass
